15.05.2006 from Singapore

hey ya!!
Alright, the last time i updated the english version was some time ago...sorry about that.
Since Lisa and I came back from the Red Earth Safari a lot has happened.
Unfortunatly Lisa has left to go back home. I was really sad about that, but i got lucky and Mara and Jennie stayed in Perth as well and I wasn't alone. In the middle of April I went to a cattle station about 1000 k up north from perth. I have to say that i had the best time ever. The people were very nice and showed me their daily life. I don't think that i can find the right words to explain my experience, as it was so totally different to what i'm used to, in a very good way.
I will upload some of the pictures I took very soon so u can get a better impression of the three weeks that i spend at Millrose Station.

Right now I'm in Singapore in a very nice hostel. So far I can only say that the city is just huge and I think even I could get soooo lost here, although I'm used to big cities.
Tomorrow I'll go sightseeing and the next days...I don't know yet. We'll see.

Byebye,
sue

Hey ya,
It's been a while now since I last updated the page...sorry.
We're in Perth now and are enjoying a few days of doing nothing at all. I hope the weather is going to be nice to us now....I'll tell u later about our trip up the west coast. And of course I'll upload the pictures.

14.02.2006 from Sydney

Hey!!
Lisa and I have been in Sydeny for a while now and it's just great. We are working in a cafe at Circular Quay so we can always enjoy the nice view of the Harbour Bridge. The job is allright, there are fun people around and it's nice to talk in english all day.
We found a room in an apartment close to chinatown and close to work.
My friend Vanessa came about 4 weeks ago and is working here now as well and we all have a great time partying. Julia, Lisa's Sis arrived in Sydney on Saturday and we're showing her around the city now.
I changed my flight a week ago and now I'm stayin in Australia till the 15th of May. I will spend about 5 days in Singapore and then I'll fly home...unfortunatly. Not that I don't want to go home to my family and friends, but it's so nice here!!!!
Whatever,
I gotta go, there is always something I have to do...
LUV,
sue

23.12.2005 from Bundy

hey,
I know i haven't been a good girl, because i totally forgot to update the english news....sorry about that, but I've noticed that there are some people reading the english page, so here i go again.

We've been working on a lemon farm for the past 4 weeks and it has been great!! It wasn't that good in the beginning coz it just rained the whole time and we got stuck in our tent. Or in Marius case: in the car, because his tent had a leak and he started to sleep in the car.
We stayed in Bundy for the first 2 weeks but then moved to the nice and lovely town Gin Gin....well, there was not much to do in Gin Gin, but after we got to know the people it was fun. And we were able to work for almost every day. At least we saved some money for our trip to Sydney. Yep, that's were we are going now, or let me say in a few hours.

so, what else....
Right, Ben, I don't even know if u read this, but if you do: I don't even know your email address, so why don't u just send me an email??
it's sue@schmittat.de
Alright, gotta go,

Merry Christmas and a great new year!!!
Luv,
sue

Hey there,
I don't really know, if anybody out there is paying attention to the english version of the site, but if there are english speaking people checking this out, here are some news in english:
We left Ayr after a week of hanging around and waiting for work. That stupid mango season just hasn't started yet and the way it looks now is that the season is goin' pretty bad anyway. The farms and the packing sheds always told us to wait till next week or the week after that, but our financial situation is too bad to wait any longer. That's why we're haeding further south now, maybe we are more lucky somewhere else.
The last week was not that exciting. If you ever plan on going to Ayr or just staying there for a few days...think again and don't do it. It's just not worth it and one of the most boring places i have seen so far. I thought, that even in Atherton was more goin on than in Ayr.
Whatever, we spent the days on the beach and got toasted...or sunburned. Either way, our skin has a differnt colour now....lol.

gotta go, we do have to go to the beach here in Bowen before we continue our journey.

If anyone checks this out, please leave a message in the guestbook so I know, that i'm not just talkin to myself here. otherwises I'm not goin to update the site so often,
take care,
luv, sue
